Intern marketing

Cadence is seeking a PowerPoint savvy, very creative, and proactive marketing intern to join our team, focusing on our digital communications and PowerPoint library. This is a strategic position, with an opportunity to have an impact on the company’s digital and communications practices.  The position requires a self-motivated, flexible individual with strong communication and project management skills. You will be a unique combination of a creative and strategic thinking, able to multi-task with confidence in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Director of Executive Communications, the ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing and enhancing our library of PowerPoint building blocks and corporate presentations. As well as managing digital asset reuse. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of PowerPoint application and presentations, and practical experience with digital image editing and management tools. There are also opportunities to get involved in social media activities.

Role: Intern – Marketing
Location: San Jose, CA

You will partner closely with our Marketing Communications Lead to work on various PowerPoint and digital asset projects. You will have the opportunity to work with the PR, social media, and integrate marketing teams on related projects. And contribute to the corporate PowerPoint asset repository.

Key Qualifications:
•    Demonstrated experience developing Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and graphics. Portfolio of sample work is required.
•    Must have some applicable technical background with computers and electronics, with demonstrated ability to explain how they operate
•    Experience with Microsoft tools; Office/Outlook, Edge, Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive, etc would be a plus.
•    You are resourceful, adaptable, creative self-starter, and results oriented with high energy, a positive attitude, and the ability to contribute in a fast-paced team environment under tight deadlines.
•    You can establish trust, credibility, and influence across multiple partners in a highly matrixed organization, servicing numerous horizontal and vertical market segments.
•    You have experience supporting, understanding, and improving the creative process while balancing the needs of a creatively driven organization with an analytical and disclosed approach to marketing.
•    You are ambitious, flexible, and have strong written and verbal communications skills and strong presentation skills.
•    Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, solid judgment, and accustomed to acting with a sense of urgency.
•    A team player, with a partnership mentality and a focus on “we”, not “me.”

Key Responsibilities:
•    Work closely with the corporate marketing teams: executive communications, solutions, integrated marketing, and partner with other functions to create content to deliver their messages
•    Collaboration with product marketing teams on technology portfolio content

Education Requirements: High School diploma, Associates degree in Software, Electronics, Marketing, or Journalism. Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program is ideal
