Internal Communications Executive

box warehouses, used primarily for regional, national and international distribution hubs, to urban warehousing located

We are currently looking to appoint an Internal Communications Executive to:
• Support the Group Internal Communications Manager with delivery of the internal communications strategy.
• Own and deliver high-quality content through SEGRO’s internal communications channels – emails and webcasts,
The Box (intranet), and Employee Briefings (quarterly webcasts).
• Plan and deliver coherent and purposeful messages to engage, inform, inspire and drive action from a diverse
employee base.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Creating and coordinating consistent content for internal communication channels, in line with the internal
communication principles and SEGRO values / culture
• Developing and implementing communications plans for internal messaging
• Compilation and circulation of ‘the Friday Noticeboard’ (weekly email newsletter)
• Ownership of ‘The Box’ (intranet), ensuring it’s the go-to place for employees to connect with each other and
keep up to date with SEGRO news and pertinent information to do their role effectively
• Coordinating delivery of regular webcasts, seminars and briefings – researching, preparing presentations, creating
briefing packs, event planning and on-the-day support
• Ensuring alignment between internal and external communication activities
• Maintaining internal distribution lists
• Supporting the Group Internal Communications Manager with projects, initiatives and events

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 2+ years of internal communications experience, gained either in-house or within an agency environment
• Appreciation of and ability to independently apply principles such as audience mapping, timetabled campaign
planning, action-driven content
• Ability to plan and execute tactical and tailored delivery of messages, ensuring alignment with company strategy,
policies and calendars
• Flair for copywriting and editing, ensuring consistent tone and style
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build successful working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
at all levels, both internally and externally
• Highly organised, able to prioritise and to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Meticulous attention to detail and proof-reading skills
• Proactive “can-do” attitude
• Curious thinker, comfortable with questioning and challenging others
• Creative and imaginative, with ability to suggest new ideas
• Desire for driving engagement initiatives
• Comfortable working both alone and as part of a team, remotely and in person
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes
