INTERNATIONAL TRANSIT COORDINATOR – GLOBAL FORWARDING COORDINATOR OCEAN IMPORT

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the processes involved in international shipping, from purchase order to delivery.
  • Assist carriers and other third parties with their inquiries and problem resolution.
  • Provide tracking and tracing services for customer shipments.
  • Produce, classify, and maintain records, reports and documents on customer shipments, among other things.
  • Gather reports and documents necessary to support international transit personnel and ensure the integrity of customer data.
  • Perform load checks and ensure all information is correct.
  • Ensure adherence to customer standard operating procedures, government agency regulations and CH Robinson corporate standards.
  • Communicate issues with submissions and potential errors to supervisor and account manager in a timely manner, as required.

Required skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent general education

  • Ensure adherence to customer Standard Operating Procedures, government agency regulations and CH Robinson company standards.
  • Timely escalation of shipment issues or potential errors to the Supervisor and Account Manager as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to customer Standard Operating Procedures, government agency regulations and CH Robinson company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all government filings and regulations such as Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) and US Department of Commerce, etc.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
