Overview:

Join Chevron as an IT application engineer with an understanding of commercial applications (i.e. trading) and regional process. This role includes support analyst scope, and the application engineer should be able to effectively represent acquired business requirements and collaborate with IT development teams with a primary focus on maintaining vendor software and optimizing evergreen support through configuration, automation, and integration.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Commercial experience, trading knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with Supply & Trading management and key business users in London to understand their needs, issues, projects and changing business conditions.
  • Collaborate with other IT colleagues to capture business requirements using Scaled Agile Frameworks; understand IT requirements generated by business strategies and operational requirements.
  • Work with developers, testers, and architects to collaboratively deliver applications, interfaces, and IT services to Trading operations.
  • Troubleshoots and fixes errors by applying basic Trading application analyst knowledge and skills.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of business domain to develop and enhance business workflows.
  • Builds and supports low code solutions.
  • Manages and automates application testing suites.
  • Participates in moving software from test to production status under IT software engineering principles.
  • Ensure all solution components are well documented.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in IT application support and development for Oil and Gas or Trading.
  • Has knowledge and/or experience in Agile Framework, Scrum, and DevOps.
  • Technical skills and hands-on support and development experience in .Net, C#, SQL, Open API, Azure, ADO, RightAngle / Endur.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical skills and hands-on experience in .Net, C#, SQL, Open API, Azure
