OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-Time IT Systems Engineer,-Azure Cloud, you will be working in a team focused on the advancement of our Cloud Computing infrastructure. You will provide ongoing engineering to help guide our cloud adoption. You will continue to support and enhance systems after the completion of cloud implementation. You will serve as a technical resource for our other Engineering, Technical Support, DevOps and software development teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Troubleshooting and resolving Azure environment performance, connectivity and security issues
o Implementing and maintaining Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to Compute, Storage, Network and Security
o Designing and implementing solutions for managing Microsoft Azure resources using ARM, PowerShell and Azure DevOps
o Operating system configuration, upgrade, migration and patching
o Contributing to DevOps pipelines and other system administration activities
o Building new applications and migrating existing applications to the Azure Cloud
o Providing 24×7 support on critical systems in an on call rotation
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess or working towards a degree in an Information Technology discipline OR have at least 3 years of work experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Knowledge of implementing Microsoft Azure cloud native services
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
o Willingness and ability to work in an on call rotation
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Ability to pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess a Microsoft Azure professional certification
o Possess development experience using PowerShell, Python, Bash, .NET, or C#
o Possess experience in areas such as SQL database management, file or object storage, containerization or, web application server administration
o Possess experience with automated configuration management or CI/CD platforms
o Demonstrate knowledge with networking topology concepts
