Job Description
- With minimal supervision and a degree of independence, initiative and judgement, is familiar with and carries out routine duties of a manual nature such as sample digestions, solvent extractions, volumetric preparation and waste disposal.
- Operation of basic equipment in accordance with written procedures.
- Understand general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.
- Ensure equipment and laboratory and kept clean to avoid contamination and protect the company’s assets.
- Carry out scheduled equipment measurements/readings such as temperature and fumehoods in accordance with the written procedures to comply with SGS QA/QC and OI requirements.
- Ensure that safety equipment and appropriate PPE are used where necessary, used correctly and used at all times.
Qualifications
- Appropriate tertiary qualification, TAFE certificates minimum.
- Experience in general laboratory environment preferred.
