Summary of the role:

Are you the next Lean Lead we are looking for?

  • You will exhibit a Lean-Agile mindset, following best practices, acting as a servant leader, and teaching by example.
  • You will be an individual contributor that fills the role of scrum master on 1-2 agile development teams.
  • You will be facilitating team meetings, removing impediments, coordinating with the other scrum masters and teams on the Agile Release Train, and building high performing teams who consistently deliver value.
  • You will work closely with the team Product Owner in their efforts to manage the team backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy dynamic with respect to process, priority, metrics, and scope.
  • You will also contribute to the Program Management Office (PMO) on SAFe initiatives and improvements for the organization.

In this role you’ll:

  • Be a Scrum Master for assigned agile development teams
  • Coordinate with agile team Product Owner and other members of Agile Release Team
  • Be a member of the Agile Program Management Office
  • Be a Lean-Agile leader, internalizing and modeling leaner ways of thinking and operating so that team members will learn from your example, coaching, and encouragement.

About the ideal candidate:

  • Education:
    • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
    • Minimum of 5 years of Lean or Scrum Master experience preferably using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
    • Scrum Master certification required; SAFe SM certification preferred
  • Relevant Work Experience:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience with continuous improvement and continuous delivery initiatives, such as DevOps and Lean
    • Experience with ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development)
    • Familiarity with Lean/Agile methodologies
    • Proficiencies in problem solving analysis
    • Empower, support, and enable the team on the Agile Release Train (ART) – specific behaviors include:
      • Vision – contribute to define and articulate a clear vision for the ART inside of the team, inspires passion and motivation to achieve ART goals, propose/support organizational alignment, provides positive encouragement to ART members
      • Authenticity – Serves as a role model for Lean-Agile mindset, sets the example in approaching the business objectives of the ART using SAFe principles and practices, demonstrates the value of life-long learning, creates an environment of respect and trust, acts with integrity
      • Growth – Understands the aspirations and objectives of individual team members, provides individual coaching and support, maintains open communications with all ART members, provides direct recognition to the accomplishments of team as well as individual contributors, demonstrates genuine care and concern for team members
      • Creativity – Encourages team to challenge the status quo, encourages team to learn, be creative, explore new ways of doing things, empowers decentralized decision making, expects and supports relentless improvement, encourages innovative thinking and protects the integrity of the IP iteration
    • Remain at the forefront of the latest developments in Lean Agile development and have a pragmatic view of when to introduce new processes and best practices into the team
  • Business Understanding:
    • Current or previous exposure in the hospitality industry:
      • CRS, CRM, Loyalty, PMS, S&C, RMS, Service Optimization, Distribution, HTNG
