DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Conceive of original gameplay ideas and develop them for a 3D action-adventure title.
  • Use our proprietary scripting tools, as well as other industry standard tools, to construct playable prototypes of your ideas.
  • Receive and implement creative direction while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Collaborate with others to iterate on designs and solve creative challenges, such as reconciling needs between form and function.
  • Partner with narrative designers and artists to identify opportunities to enhance storytelling through gameplay and visual design.
  • Produce design documentation that clearly communicates gameplay intent.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
  • A unique creative spark that brings unexpected smiles to others!
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in game design, including experience on action-adventure titles.
  • Deep interest in other realms of game design, including but not limited to environments, bosses, and player systems.
  • A working knowledge of standard industry game engines, design toolsets and production pipelines.
  • Ability to iterate on prototypes that stay true to goals and clearly communicate intent.
  • Willingness to be open and flexible when collaborating with others to achieve creative goals.
  • Strong organizational, communication and influencing skills.
  • Passion for Nintendo and Retro titles preferred.
  • Familiarity with Illustrator, Photoshop and Maya preferred.
  • Examples of prior work must be available upon request.
