L’Oréal USA Research & Innovation Management Trainee Program
The L’Oréal USA Research & Innovation Management Trainee Program is a two-year rotational program within R&I. Our mission is to attract, develop, and retain, high-potential individuals who have the drive and ability to assume managerial and technical leadership positions cross-functionally within L’Oréal R&I.

THE PROGRAM
This new immersive experience is the entry point for top talent that wants to be part of a global powerhouse with over 30 brands. The Program includes four rotations within a two-year accelerated program that provides structured and robust onboarding.
Potential Rotations could include:
• Development (Formulation Science)
• Enabling Partners (Product Performance Evaluation, Demi-Grand/Scale Up, Claims)
• Application Domains (Applied Science)
• Invention & Discovery Domains (Advanced Research)
Throughout the Program, there are customized training tracks and development opportunities. You will have cross-functional category exposure throughout your rotations. Upon successful completion of the Program, you will be placed into a Sr. Chemist/Scientist role within the R&I organization.

Minimum Requirements:
Current Senior graduating in December 2020 or May 2021 with a BS or BA in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biological Sciences or related sciences
· Experience working in a laboratory environment, through internships, university coursework, extra-curricular activities, part-time work, etc.
Possesses strong collaboration and communication skills to build relationships with key partner groups
Good problem solving and decision making skills. Displays a sense of urgency and initiative with creativity and flexibility
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative and self-motivated. Be able to think out of the box and willing to take an extra step to get job done
· Effective communicator of ideas, project goals, and expected results.
Highly motivated and independent thinker who works well in a faced paced environment and who seeks to go beyond their current knowledge and skill set in order to solve problems, resolve issues, and ensure goals are met.
Participates and/or leads as a departmental representative in inter-departmental teams and senior management meetings.
Demonstrates flexibly, resolve and positive outlook to ensure success of projects.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent ongoing basis without requiring future sponsorship
Stand Out Qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a total GPA of 3.0 or higher
Showcased ability to work in a professional, dynamic environment through previous internship or relevant work experience. This include part-time work, work study, side-gigs, freelancing, volunteering, summer work, or internships
Demonstrated leadership ability and interest in Research through your academics, extra-curricular activities, or professional/volunteer work
Experience working in a laboratory environment, through internships, university coursework, extra-curricular activities, part-time work, etc.
Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience in order to present out key research findings
