A vacancy has arisen for an Electrician to work at our Purfleet works in Essex.
Successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of electrical installations, fault finding, repairing defects and ensuring that a high standard of safety, relating to electrical installation is maintained.
The applicant should be a qualified technician electrician to City & Guilds standards or equivalent in electrical installation 18th edition. Experience of working with Siemens step 5 and step 7 will be a distinct advantage.
As part of multi skilling criteria, the applicant will be required to operate mobile plant if necessary, and assist with mechanical maintenance, appropriate training will be provided.
This position is a key appointment and the applicant must demonstrate competency through relevant experience and qualifications.
Additionally the applicant should be reliable, flexible, organised and be able to work as part of a skilled team. Applicant will also be required to cover out of hours electrical breakdowns on a callout rota.

This person will work as part of the Hanson Cement / REGEN team.
Purpose of / Responsibilities of the role
- Health and Safety of self and others.
You will be required to provide out of hours breakdown cover on a callout rota arranged with management team - Ensure that electrical maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with the schedules and procedures.
- Ensure that electrical maintenance carried out is accurately recorded for reference purposes.
- Ensure that workshops, equipment and facilities are adequate and maintained.
Skills / Experience
To have served a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical disciplines.
Possess fault finding skills
Basic planning skills
Preventative maintenance techniques and practices.
Complete Understanding of Health and Safety,Environmental and Quality requirements.
Systematic approach to problem solving and solution finding.
