• Perform maintenance on equipment to keep facility operations safe and unscheduled downtime to a minimum
• Build new equipment and make modifications to existing equipment for new product lines or new production requirements
• Build new equipment and make modifications to existing equipment for new product lines or new production requirements
• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical and hydraulic problems. Analyze root cause of problems on production equipment
• Perform building and system upgrades
• Coordinate outside contractors, suppliers for preventative and predictive maintenance activities
• Ensure all equipment is operating within proper safety codes including guarding
• To perform emergency repairs on all production equipment and systems that may cause production losses, downtime or major facility losses
• Operate forklift, lathe, saws, etc.
• Rebuild and re-order parts to ensure supply of critical spares
• Maintain housekeeping as per standard
• Wear all required personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety and environmental rules.
• Keep the equipment running in top shape
• Assistant with the building and equipment changes
• Assist in the development of new programs and projects throughout the company
• Achieve minimum unscheduled downtime on equipment by way of preventative maintenance
• Schedule and perform repairs and upgrades with minimum impact on production
• Ensure that all equipment is operating properly, safety and with minimum downtime
• Other duties as assigned

• 10 years overall manufacturing experiences
• Minimum 2 years experience in a lead role is highly desired, specifically experience in ISO/OHSAS
• Millwright Mechanic preferred or related field or equivalent experience
• Multi certificates in technical discipline preferred
• Fork truck operator license is an asset
• MS office & CAD software
• Knowledge of electrical and building codes as well as ISO procedures
• Metal and plastic fabrication / base electrical, chemical and process knowledge
• WHMIS & ISO training is an asset
• Heavy lifting is required
• Must have asset to car to travel below two locations
