What you will be doing
As our Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for safely maintain the operational efficiency of all of the manufacturing equipment as directed and under the guidelines of preventative maintenance. Specifically, this will include:
- Conducting preventative maintenance program requirements for all manufacturing equipment;
- Basic electrical, repair and maintenance for mixing, blending, PLC, electronic meters, and tank level indicator systems;
- Boiler operation, trouble shooting, treatment, and basic preventative maintenance;
- Basic welding (stick and MIG);
- Pump repair (pneumatic and centrifugal);
- Pneumatic/Hydraulic repair and maintenance;
- Assist with new project installation as required;
- Small engine repair and maintenance;
- Basic pipefitting and plumbing installation and repair.
Who we are looking for
Our success is based on individuals who are ready to make the most of their skills and prepared to tackle any challenges they face. As well as your high school diploma or GED, you should have the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, climb stairs and ladders for maintenance and inspection of operational equipment and the ability to wear a respirator. You should also have three years maintenance experience working in an industrial setting, preferably a chemical manufacturing facility with demonstrated proficiency in maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment and basic mechanical knowledge of pneumatic and centrifugal pumps. We’ll also be looking for certifications in small engine repair, and gas fired boiler operations and maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot and program PLC’s.

This position is located at the Palm Commodities International, LLC facility in LaVergne, TN. The facility is a Drug-Free Workplace, and pre-employment drug testing is a prerequisite to hiring.
