Manager, EMEA Investment Analysis Locations: London, England, United

Your Role 
The primary purpose is to perform in-depth product research to position our products in a competitive environment through a compelling and differentiated product messaging. Combined with our market research efforts that aim to assess client demand behaviour, you will be able to identify research-based sales opportunities and bring them to life by working closely with the distribution teams. You will be the go-to-person for competitive analytics, consult on product selection and you will have the opportunity to engage directly with clients as product or market intelligence specialist. In this role you will report directly to the Head of EMEA Investment Analysis.

You will be responsible for: 

  • Acting as internal investment consultant by identifying our most promising investment products that match our clients’ needs and promote these through excellent positioning work
  • Creating and curating compelling and thought-provoking messages which engage and educate the target audiences
  • Partnering with distribution teams across EMEA, enabling them to maximize their impact with clients through actionable product and market intelligence
  • Selecting and qualifying capabilities within the RfP process to ensure only our most competitive capabilities that meet all RfP specifications are brought forward
  • Engaging with clients alongside relationship managers to directly present the insights gained from our product and market research (optionally)
  • Working closely with other functions (such as investment, product strategy and marketing) ensuring the team’s views and insights sharpen our message towards our clients
  • Driving the unit’s innovative research agenda to identify attractive areas of research and actionable sales opportunities

The skills and experience you’ll bring 
You have:

  • Proven experience in a research-related role (ideally asset management, investment consulting or wealth management) combined with a strong client-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and writing skills are needed to distil technical information into a concise and compelling narrative and to explain complex research results suitable for the target audience
  • Relationship-driven personality as the role will work across regions, cultures, teams and business units
  • Academic calibre. Industry credentials such as CFA (or working towards) is a plus
  • Strong technical skills, proficient with Microsoft Office. Programming skills (R, VBA etc.) are a plus
  • Experience in working with fund research tools (Morningstar Direct, eVestment, Mercer MPA, Bloomberg) is beneficial

In addition, you have:

  • Analytical and creative mindset combined with a communicative and client-oriented personality
  • Fluent in English, excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluent in another European language is a plus
  • A professional, highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and outcome-oriented personality with the ability to work and thrive in an entrepreneurial and team environment
