Purpose of Job
- Support the Leader, Integrated M&S in developing a cohesive strategy for M&S practices
- Develop and embed best-in-class M&S practices, processes, solutions and systems across all Chemicals Business divisions
- Identify and introduce digital and non-digital solutions and techniques in support of specific functional areas impacting M&S
Key Accountabilities
- Liaise with Business division M&S managers across Chemicals to identify and prioritize opportunities and define specific initiatives to drive best-in-class M&S practices, processes, and systems for functional areas of M&S
- Provide thought leadership for a sub-space of functional areas such as profitable growth, customer experience, sales enablement, ecommerce, process improvements etc.
- Codify best practices for functional area of responsibility and support capability building for M&S managers
- Develop, maintain, and drive roadmaps for functional area of responsibility from current state assessment to pilots, scaling to enterprise solutions, with specific near term focus on digital solutions and e-commerce
- Lead definition and support implementation of approved initiatives with M&S managers, work closely with the Business division M&S teams, digital studios and IT teams to develop, align and execute on roadmaps
- Define and enable tracking of KPI’s and value enabled by these initiatives
- Support change management and adoption of processes, solutions and systems in conjunction with Business divisions and other teams as required
- Contribute to strategy development for M&S practices as part of the Integrated M&S team
Formal Education
- Bachelor’s degree,( e.g., in Business, Chemistry, Marketing) , or Commercial qualification (MBA/MBL)
Working Experience
- 5 – 10 years relevant work experience
Required Personal and Professional Skills
- Experience in chemical industry or in consulting (international experience beneficial)
- Strong business acumen with experience in Marketing & Sales functions
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills across organizational levels
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrable ability in gaining approval for M&S best practices through logic-based influencing techniques, consensus building and conflict resolution
- Experience with implementation of digital solutions, ecommerce and change management
- Creative, Energetic, Agile – taking the initiative to drive the business forward
