Job Summary:
The Marketing Business Analyst serves as functional and project management resource for Allegro software, providing software-specific expertise and industry knowledge to develop solutions to utilize the system more effectively. Collaborates with Marketing commercial, logistics, risk controls and contracts teams to deliver data-management solutions and reports, inside and outside of Allegro.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for design, testing and support of Allegro business processes
- Support the technical solutions delivered by TechSol or Allegro support by providing business & technical specifications, review, testing, and validation. Document “bugs” and technical issues to be resolved by TechSol or Allegro; track progress of issue resolutions.
- Subject matter expert for interfaces into and out of Allegro (prices, business associates, cost centers, volumes, etc.)
- Consult with Marketing and other Allegro users to determine business requirements for enhancements or changing business processes
- Train new and existing users; troubleshoot issues; model best practices; document Pioneer-specific user guides
- Work closely with counterparts in TechSol to assign and solve outstanding user issues & requests
- Project manager for all system upgrades & major enhancements: responsible for project plan, scope & timeline; test plans/results; tracking deliverables
- Lend technical expertise to Marketing projects outside of Allegro, such as data mapping
- Performs other/additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or IT preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 8 -10 years’ experience with Allegro software in a functional and/or technical/IT role
- Extensive knowledge of Allegro Horizon platform UI and data table structure
- SQL and Crystal report writing skills; knowledge of inventory, MTM, exposure and PNL valuation
- Significant experience in Oil & Gas industry working with commercial, logistics, accounting and derivatives teams; familiarity with industry terminology and physical processes
- Creative and problem-solving skills; intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
- Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation
- Ability to lead project teams
