About Baxter’s Cleveland, MS Facility:

Cleveland’s technology and automation are cutting edge. It is the U.S. sole source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV, and various reconstitution devices. This facility has a number of major product lines with a diverse array of automated manufacturing technologies ranging from bottle solution filling, injection molding, and device assembly. Our Cleveland plant has been an integral part of Baxter for over 60 years. The work is challenging and rewarding, as Baxter offers competitive compensation and benefits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must place rubber stoppers on glass bottles.
Must stack bottles from conveyor to solution skids which require repetitive bending.
Must perform TIQ checks and complete appropriate documentation for said checks.
Must perform inspection of final assembly.
Must stack off carton filled with glass bottles and place on the filling line which requires repetitive bending and lifting.
Must stack off empty cartons and stage them on pallets to be delivered to glass packing which requires repetitive bending and lifting.
Must place empty cartons on the packing line so cartons can be packed.
Must participate in production batch changeover and line clearances by moving raw material from line to batch staging area identified.
Must perform set-up and break-down function as required by supervision.
Must be involved in corrective action meetings and performing and documenting Manufacturing Quality Inspections (SPC) established by manufacturing and quality supervision.
Must be willing to rotate among various tasks within the department.
Must be able to work overtime during the week as well as weekends.
Must perform custodial functions as required by supervision.
Must perform general housekeeping around workstations during production operation.
Must perform all other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervision/management.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds repetitively.
Ability to climb cross over ladders.
Ability to lift above the shoulder up to 2 pounds repetitively.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must meet visual acuity requirements as documented in the Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity procedure CL-01-01-037.
Must pass visual acuity and pass glass and vial visual inspection (PM, bottle defects, label defects).
Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.
Must be able to read, understand, and follow GMPs, SOPs, specifications, bill of material and all guidelines as they relate to the process.
Must have knowledge of both plant and department environmental health and safety regulations and comply with said regulations accordingly.
