In your role, you will:

  • Plan and maintain the material requirement dates for purchased and manufactured parts based on production Master Schedule. Release purchase requests to the buyers accordingly to the manufacturing schedule;
  • Create and maintain logistics parameters in the MRP;
  • Optimize the material ordering policy to reduce shortage and overall inventory (expected annual issue, safety stock/time, minimum order quantity, etc.);
  • Analyze data related to raw material inventory and propose initiatives to reduce the total inventory of the company;
  • Assist in the governance meetings and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure the performance of Bombardier Aviation’s (BA) Material Logistics team;
  • Create and/or update existing process mapping applicable to the Procurement organization;
  • Develop new procedures to increase the efficiency of the Procurement and Material Logistics group

Qualifications

 

As our ideal candidate,

  • You hold 3-5 years of professional experience as material planner preferable in a manufacturing industry;
  • You have a strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, preferable BAAN IV;
  • You have an academic background Bachelor Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent;
  • You are result oriented and strong analytical skills;
  • You have problem solving skills;
  • You are eager to learn more and willing to apply the past professional knowledge in a fast pace business environment;
  • You have an excellent people skills and motivation;
  • You have a strong sense of ethics and are customer focused;
  • You are a self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in both official languages (English and French);
  • You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access DB, Teams and Power BI.
