Job Description
El Dorado Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Mechanic Helper to join our team in Placerville, CA at our transfer station!
The schedule for this position will be four 10s – Wednesday-Saturday 7:30am-6pm. The wage will start at $20/hour with a $2 raise at 6 months of employment, and regular wage increases thereafter. We also offer great family benefits, 401k, paid vacation, etc.
Responsibilities Include:
- Facility maintenance at transfer station
- Maintaining stationary machinery and equipment inside of transfer station such as our baler and sorting machines
- Cleaning of equipment and machines
- Various utility tasks as needed
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of work experience. Preferably in a facility maintenance/mechanic type role
- The ability to stand outside throughout a 8 hr shift
- Ability and will to work in all weather conditions
- Experience running equipment is a plus (forklift, loader or baler)
- Must pass drug screen and pre-employment background check.
