RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate interconnection and substation designs for Solar PV and integrated Energy Storage projects.
- Responsible for conceptual design development detailed design reviews, preliminary studies, permitting and procurement support for the MV and HV components of solar PV and battery storage projects in development, construction and operation.
- Draft specifications for MV and HV equipment procured by AES, and by AES partners.
- Review commissioning reports and analyze system performance.
- Work closely with interconnection and project engineers.
- Conceptual design and indicative pricing for project interconnections in development.
- Prepare preliminary studies and single-lines for interconnection applications and facility study applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of experience in generation interconnection design and development.
- Conceptual design development for substations and interconnections (2-100MVA, 15-230kV) (2 years);
- Medium and High Voltage standards and codes, including NEC, NESC, ANSI and IEEE standards (2 years);
- 1-line and 3-line substation design conventions (2 years);
- Substation construction and commissioning (2 years);
- PSS/E and Short Circuit (2 years);
- SCADA systems (2 years);
- Battery storage (2 years);
- solar energy project development (2 years);
- Micro-processor relays: SEL, GE, ABB (2 years);
- Power system management (2 years)
