Mobile Marketing DTC Promotions Manager

As part of our Mobile Marketing organization, this person is responsible for delivering experiences, offers and promotions that enhance our devices, delight our consumers and drive revenue growth for the organization. This will include pre-order offers, internal DTC offers and promotions (e.g. upgrade offers) as well as promotions/offers that incorporate external partnerships.

In this role you will be consumer-first in your mindset – focusing on developing promotions and strategies that resonate with existing and new audiences that align against our marketing strategy and consumer segmentation.
You’ll have significant visibility to executives from across the Samsung organization – not just in mobile but across Mobile Computing, Digital Appliances and Content & Services.

Although this role is mobile-specific, other groups will expect you to be a source of best practice and expertise for DTC promotional programs, and may call on your advice and input to help realize the potential of their businesses. You will rapidly become the “go-to” resource for guidance on DTC Promotions and will need to act with confidence and strong leadership.

You’ll also be working heavily with Samsung’s internal teams in Korea to align on global-local strategies and implementations. You’ll work heavily with our Carrier and Retail stakeholders to ensure maximum value and amplification.
Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead DTC Promotions – executing the whole DTC promotion lifecycle from initial promotion strategy through post-campaign analytics, review and learnings. DTC Promotions are a key tool in driving demand and awareness for our products and this role comprises:
Delivering DTC promotions across the year in addition to management of external vendors and agencies and internal budgets.
Lead and own the DTC Promotions calendar across all device launches and campaigns during the year.
Identifying, based on clear insights and learnings, ideal promotions that target the right consumer with the right message in the right places to drive towards clear business goals.
Guiding and driving x-functional to implement all of the necessary components needed to implement the right consumer experience (e.g. web/mobile landing pages, CEJ development, redemption process, and fulfillment). This may include external partnerships, where you will be responsible for liaising with external partners to build out the components above.
Providing ongoing tracking and reporting against key KPIs and targets. This will include detailed analytics that drive insights and help evolve and improve future promotions.
Working with internal stakeholders e.g. Finance, Legal, Compliance & Procurement to ensure that any promotion has clear financial frameworks, milestones and adheres to respective Samsung policies.
Developing internal sales materials to ensure that all x-functional teams see clear value from promotions and provide maximum support with their respective areas (e.g. ensuring that Carrier and Channel partners amplify and drive incremental awareness through their channels).
Developing external sales materials to help external partners see the value of partnering with Samsung and provide the most compelling offers based on the target consumer.
Ensure Customer Support, Retail and Sales reps are fully trained on DTC promotions – including development of training materials, support processes and escalations.
Developing, producing and delivering promotional materials/sales materials for physical and digital signage to be used across all channels, working very closely with our Creative Services team.
Project/program management to ensure timely delivery of all components of programs

Skills and Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, business management or insights
5 years+ in Marketing, Promotions or Partnerships or Channel Sales Management
An iterative thinker who can challenge the status quo and continuously improve and ideate new ideas, processes and consumer experiences
Consummate collaborator committed to communication excellence
Experience working with technology platforms and internet brands
Ability to process data and share results and insights including business recommendations and decisions
Ability to think strategically about issues, leading to recommendations and action plans
Ability to think quickly and make decisions, sometimes without all the necessary information
Comfortable presenting at CxO level
Strong project/program management experience and high attention to detail and accuracy.
