The Supervisor will ensure operational excellence by planning, coordinating, and supporting team operations. The focus of the position is to develop people, monitor and improve performance, and support the day-to-day needs of our customers through superior operations.
Responsibilities:
People Management
- Training, coaching and motivating employees
- Establishing short term and long-term developmental employee goals
- Conducting mid and year end reviews
- Providing input and recommendation on compensation, staffing forecasting & decisions
- Communicating and educating employees on operations processes and corporate compliance policies
- Leading change initiatives in the team
Operational Management
- Escalation point for customers and internal stakeholders
- Prioritize and delegate work. Monitor for accuracy, completeness, and efficiency
- Develop, communicate and improve operational processes within team and handoffs with other branch teams
- Maintain customer service and productivity standards in the team
- Actively work with management to identify, develop, and monitor metrics to measure and improve performance of the team
- Develop solutions for our customers in coordination with account management, product leaders and sales teams as required
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Bilingual French and English
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and influence others, set a positive example, and create a productive, positive environment
