The Supervisor will ensure operational excellence by planning, coordinating, and supporting team operations.  The focus of the position is to develop people, monitor and improve performance, and support the day-to-day needs of our customers through superior operations.

Responsibilities:

People Management

• Training, coaching and motivating employees
• Establishing short term and long-term developmental employee goals
• Conducting mid and year end reviews
• Providing input and recommendation on compensation, staffing forecasting & decisions
• Communicating and educating employees on operations processes and corporate compliance policies
• Leading change initiatives in the team

Operational Management

• Escalation point for customers and internal stakeholders
• Prioritize and delegate work.  Monitor for accuracy, completeness, and efficiency
• Develop, communicate and improve operational processes within team and handoffs with other branch teams
• Maintain customer service and productivity standards in the team
• Actively work with management to identify, develop, and monitor metrics to measure and improve performance of the team
• Develop solutions for our customers in coordination with account management, product leaders and sales teams as required

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Bilingual French and English
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and influence others, set a positive example, and create a productive, positive environment
