Operational Resilience Specialist

About the Role

  • Proportionately and consistently embedding The Quilter Operational Resilience Framework throughout the Group via embedding explicit operational resilience outcomes in policies, frameworks.
  • Proactively contribute to the development, maintenance and oversight of the Business Continuity and Crisis Management policy and related standards. Support the Group in attaining a compliant policy position and contribute the annual attestation cycle.
  • Champion cultural change to adopt operational resilience into business conduct via presentations at fora and committees, communications, and training and awareness activities.
  • Contribute to the assessments of important business services offering reasonable challenge were required.
  • Facilitate scenario testing of important business services.
  • Provide expert advice on important business services testing such as the development and maintenance of the Group’s severe and plausible scenario set.
  • Support the development and maintenance of operational resilience self-assessment documentation.
  • Strive towards improving the data quality within the Group pertaining to operational resilience such as via the Business Impact Assessments and Business Continuity Plan template development, support the Group in mapping dependencies, identifying recovery time and point objectives and impact tolerances.
  • Participate as required in crisis response.
  • Partner the businesses and specialist domain central functions in the delivery of operational resilience with particular focus on business continuity.
  • Supporting the businesses in incident response and crisis management events and by facilitating/observing scenario based exercises to ensure preparedness.
  • Supporting the annual review for business interruption insurance cover to ensure known costs are assessed and included.
  • Be an active contributor to the Operational Resilience Forum.
  • Maintain personal development and expertise in operational resilience such as participation in industry working groups.Providing expert advice on the Quilter Operational Resilience Framework.
  • Be a proactive contributor to the ongoing development of the Operational Resilience Framework to maintain a proportionate and regulatory compliant framework.
  • Contribute to the wider Operational Resilience Community discussion, training and awareness.
  • Providing expert advice on business continuity best practice. Be a thought leader for the Group in the proportionate application of business continuity practices across the Group.

About You

  • Significant experience in:
    • Operational resilience specifically in business continuity, incident response and crisis management.
    • Designing and delivering business resilience and crisis management exercises.
  • Working knowledge of wealth industry products, and industry practise and UK regulations pertaining to Operational Resilience.
  • Broad understanding of IT, Property, Supplier, Information, and People operational resilience controls.
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO27000 / ISO22300 suite.
  • Able to engage effectively with business stakeholders to deliver assurance activities, resulting in value adding risk management practices and reporting solutions.
  • Excellent written communication.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage and influence at all levels across the business and the wider organisation.
  • Experience in managing projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Compliance, regulatory and governance requirements and operating within a risk managed environment.
  • Advanced level of MS Office (Viso, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Experience in using Continuity Logic 360 system is preferred but not essential.

Relevant business continuity qualification such as CBCI desirable but not essential.
