ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Our global operations within Refrigeration cover six countries and approximately 3,500 employees. We use Carrier Excellence to provide high-quality products to our customers worldwide and look for a summer intern to assist in driving process improvements within the Global Quality, Supply Chain, Operations Strategy team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with operations and Carrier Excellence (Lean) leaders throughout Refrigeration to drive process improvements such as
KPI (Key performance indicator) reporting
Utilize the tools of Carrier Excellence to improve the channels of communication to all operationsemployees
Actively participate in kaizen events in our factories (Georgia).
Support the Carrier Excellence lead through project tracking/reporting
Support project management for key NA Operations projects.
Support data analysis for global Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning (SIOP) process
QUALIFICATIONS
Preference is being given to the candidate from the INROADS program. This internship is a partnership between Carrier and INROADS.
Enrollment in aBachelor’sdegree program required
GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0GPA
Preferred majors include Engineering or Supply Chain
Rising Sophomore or Junior preferred
Project management skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Suite Products
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and takeinitiative
Ability to traveldomestically
EH&S REQUIREMENTS
Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules andrequirements
Must be able to stand for extended periods while participating in factoryevents
Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals andplans
Recommend improved EH&S practices
