As Operations Technician III, you’ll perform a variety of tasks, including reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, safely maintaining facility equipment and analyzing data to solve technical and operational problems. Knowledge of permits and compliance, accurate record-keeping and a focus on safety will bring success in this role.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, inspecting/monitoring equipment and maintaining operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements
- Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems
- Follows all Company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
- Acquires knowledge of and complies with requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
- Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
- Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an Operations Technician or similar role
- Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Operations Technician in the Oil and Gas Industry
Physical and Environment Work Requirements:
Must be able to:
- Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
- Carry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbs
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
- Use hand tools
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as needed
- May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Other Requirements:
- Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
COMPRESSION/MAINTENANCE:
- Performs preventive compressor station and pipeline facility maintenance
- Troubleshoot, operate and maintain all compressor station and/or natural gas processing plant equipment and facilities
- Minimum three (3) years of experience of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of centrifugal machinery/equipment and with compressors and/or other compression equipment
- Ensure engine oil samples are pulled, analyzed, and acted upon accordingly
Coordinate inventory of spare and critical parts Professional Qualifications & Experience - Provide technical advice and support for the safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient operation of rotating equipment, including compressor engines, compressor frames, motors, and pumps
- Work with Operations daily to fix and identify Reactive and Preventive maintenance
- Work with Subcontractors with good open communication and team work
- Assist operations with process filter changes when needed
- Working daily with Plant Maintenance planner to insure jobs are closed out and any reactive work from a PM is logged
- Perform routine inspection of Pumps and other equipment
Additional Job Description:
- Good communicator, work planner with excellent work ethics and a good background in computer applications
- Must be available for call-outs rotational
- Experience with Maintenance work order system like MAXIMO
- Experience with CAT Natural Gas Engine Maintenance
- Experience with Ariel Compressor Maintenance
- Experience with Compressor Operation and Maintenance
- Experience with Dehydration, Amine, Pumps, and Motors
- Experienced with LOTO and Work planning
Salary Guidelines:
(Minimum, Midpoint, Maximum)
$62,900 – $81,700 – $100,700
General Compensation Information:
This role will be eligible for an Annual Incentive Program (AIP) payment. AIP payments are discretionary compensation based on business performance in relation to enterprise goals, the incentive opportunity for the role, and individual performance. Certain roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive awards.
