Job brief
At this level employees will be working under broader supervision using defined methods, processes and formats to collect and analyze data to produce recommendations for optimizing organizational structures and related processes. Perform as an internal consultant and facilitator working pro-actively with line management to achieve these objectives.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the identification of opportune areas for organization development work and in the formulation of proposals for presentation to senior line management to gain commitment to the proposed work.
Request, collect, collate and analyze data pertinent to organization studies draw initial conclusions and present analysis to higher-level specialists or other project team members.
Gather information and data on Jobs and draft Job Descriptions according to agreed formats. Contribute to the development of Job Family Models
Undertake evaluation of jobs in specific functions up to Department Manger level.
Conduct basic data analysis using prescribed formats and processes as directed to contribute to the production of recommendations for optimal organizational structures within the Company.
Carry out simple linear process mapping under supervision to determine business process flows thereby contributing to a process study.
Update, modify the existing organization charts in the in-house organization chart system and develop conceptual and new organization charts and data input in the ORGIS System for various on- going projects.
Prepare Organizational Comparative Analysis between old and new organizations and pinpoint the changes / variances in the organization and the jobs leading to the updating of existing jobs and enabling the development of new Job Descriptions and Job Family Models.
Prepare ongoing organization projects status report, providing monthly / quarterly updates to the department management.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in related field with more than 7 years of related experience in Organization Development OR Master Degree in related field with 5 years of related experience in Organization Development.
A good understanding of roles within a range of Departments, how they fit together and the options for accountabilities in roles.
Detailed knowledge of business and technical terminology associated with a range of Departments.
Excellence of business writing and in particular in the preparation of job descriptions, job families and process mapping
Knowledge of and ability to apply a range of tools that are required to undertake the role, e.g. job descriptions, process mapping techniques subject to quality assurance
Process facilitation skills to enable running of moderate complexity workshops.
Very Good English speaking and writing.
