AES Indiana – Assistant Surveyor
QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school graduate or equivalent with one (1) or more years of college, technical, vocational school training toward a degree in civil engineering or surveying, or pass the EEI Tech Test. Must work out of doors in all kinds of weather and may be required to work extended out of town assignments as required. All other general qualifications such as attendance and punctuality, safety and performance records will be considered.
Additional consideration will be given for the following job related training or experience:
(1) Education including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, drafting and/or mechanical drawing;
(2) Training or experience in land surveying; and
(3) Any other qualifications contributing to the applicant’s ability to perform the job.
FUNCTION:
Sets up, adjusts and operates a transit, theodolite, engineer’s level, and/or other surveying instruments to establish and record angles and elevations to secure data for construction, map making, mining, excavating or other purposes.
Performs other duties which may be requested by authorized personnel.
Working Conditions: Outdoor work required in various types of weather.. Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm.
