Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the leadership team to design and execute strategic pricing initiatives to position the company’s current and future growth and profitability.
- Support the business leaders to develop and deploy pricing related processes, policies, guidelines and reporting capabilities needed to achieve their financial and operational goals.
- Work with the business teams to define and report metrics that support the business objectives and create performance transparency for effectiveness of pricing actions.
- Engage field leaders to establish actions for improvement in areas that show variance to pricing improvement expectations and co-create plans with field leadership to drive pricing results.
- Lead market research and competitive intelligence gathering and make recommendations regarding pricing policies.
- Leverage multiple systems and databases to provide actionable insights through reporting and analytics.
- Create and update price sheets for segments, regions, channels, and currencies.
- Manage annual price increase strategy and tactics.
- Perform analyses on customer price sensitivity and elasticity.
- Coordinate with Product Management and Marketing to update competitive product and pricing information.
- Manage pricing analysis to support promotions and new product releases.
- Lead and direct analysts to provide leading and lagging KPIs for pricing initiatives, compile reports/dashboards and distribute to stakeholders across the organization.
- Assist with pricing negotiations of customers’ proposals.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- 7 years of work experience in analytical roles (sales, marketing is a plus); 3+ years in pricing
- Expert in using analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, OBI, Excel etc.)
- Ability to think critically and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem resolution skills.
- Experience managing pricing processes with cross-functional partners.
- Strong research and synthesis skills (translate data into insights and actions)
- Experience with modeling techniques and pricing frameworks
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Desired Characteristics:
- Previous experience with Industrial Products sold through regional or national distributors is preferred.
- Previous experience as a pricing professional with proven experience meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to perform in a dynamic environment.
- Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks; a self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate and avoid issues.
- Clear, concise and articulate communication skills – verbal, written and listening.
- Ability to interface with wide array of individuals, can balance multiple tasks and maintain a positive attitude and energy.
