Summary
As a Sr. Product Line Specialist within the Diversified Analog Solutions (DAS) Business Unit, your focus will be on WiFi, GPS, Antenna Management, and Diode products.
You will be responsible for managing product lifecycle & manufacturing statuses and engaging with internal operations & external manufacturing partners to maintain visibility & priorities in production.
You will function as a central resource with design, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle.
In addition, you be responsible for formulating and executing long-term plans for cost/profit control and promoting use of new technologies and industry-leading trends
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the DAS BU Connectivity Product Line Manager, you should have a broad skill set with the ability to engage and facilitate across multiple sites and geographical regions to define deliverables, plan resources, improve process, and achieve desired results.
As a proven leader, you should have a demonstrated history in the functions listed below:
Focus Product areas: Analog and Connectivity including WiFi, GPS, Antenna management, and Diode
Product Cost: Coordinate activities between engineering & finance teams to develop and maintain product cost database using online cost tools. Analyze cost scenario options with a goal of optimizing product margin during definition
Financial Metric Reporting: Perform various finance, forecast, and backlog reports in support of PLM priorities and decisions.
Engage with BU Operations team to provide custom reports as requested by BU PLM & VP
Ownership of Diode products including Pricing, Quoting and diode product line related activities
Product hierarchy management and maintenance: Manage PL Product Hierarchy definitions and facilitate changes as BU strategies evolve
Define and implement new processes and ways of working to improve BU practices and agility
Product End of Life (EOL): Manage EOL activities within the BU for external driven supplier EOLs or internal demand-based EOL. Coordinate PLM and operations team to product End of Life decisions or alternate source adoption
Scrap Material disposition: Coordinate with operations and PLM team to determine disposition of NPI and production scrap material
Support in line product changes through Change Control Board (CCB) participation
Special Product Line related Projects – at request of PLM & VP
Working with offshore NPI teams to enable selection of appropriate vendors, product cost control and vendor share allocation
