Using your strong problem-solving skills, you will find data driven solutions to large scale commercial challenges, delivering benefit and value at pace. Supporting the Head of Data Strategy, this role will be working with leaders across the business to identify opportunities, communicating progress, benefits and driving adoption of data solutions.
You will need to build credible and trusted relationships, have an understanding of general business strategy and decision-making, strong problem-solving skills, a passion for and an interest in data, and a client-service mind set. This role provides the overall leadership, programme management and direction, and works with the technical skillsets (data science, engineering, BI analyst) to find the best possible solutions to meet the business needs.
Key accountabilities and measures
Draw on technical and business knowledge to help leaders identify and prioritise their business problems.
Facilitate and manage the coordination and delivery of data solutions to solve commercial challenges, providing measurable, high value improvements to key performance indicators.
Work with Data Scientists, Analysts and Data Engineers to develop successful data-driven products and services.
Create user stories with data by translating analytics-derived insights into actionable recommendations for the business.
Play a critical role in bridging the technical expertise of data engineers and data scientists with the operational expertise of the business teams, helping to ensure that the deep insights generated through sophisticated analytics translate into impact at scale.
Drive adoption of solutions, through successful change management programmes.
Be a visible leader – championing the adoption of data driven solutions whilst making Insight and Analytics more accessible to the wider business.
Influence our senior stakeholders, to inform and demonstrate the power and importance of data driven decisions and solutions.

Knowledge, and interest in data related technology and analytical tools and methods.
Understand the key operational metrics of a retail business and their impact on profit and loss, revenue, customer retention etc.
Experienced in collaborating with technical teams, showing strong experience in defining, designing, developing and delivering complex solutions.
Good commercial knowledge of retail operations and processes would be advantageous.
