Product Manager – Marketing Solutions

JOB PURPOSE

This Data & Analytics function endeavours to create clear accountability for all aspects of Data Strategy, Data Management, Information Management, Analytics, and Insights. We would be accountable for impact of solutions, maintaining market relevance and minimising unnecessary overlaps in analytics products, ensuring simplicity and that our solutions better meet the needs of our users.

We would partner with the Digital and Data Legal Counsel to ensure that our Data Defence (Privacy, Governance, Quality, etc) is well structured and sufficiently robust to use data and AI correctly throughout the enterprise. We would democratize information across the business, while supporting the culture shift required for data driven decision making. Further, this team would drive capacity unlock from manual and duplicative reporting capabilities, while also refocusing a portion of the unlock on embedding predictive and prescriptive analytics capabilities into our highest potential opportunities.

The Product Manager plays a key role within D&A, owning solution development and leading the squad from high level proposal through to delivery. The Product Manager owns project budgets, timelines and designs and is the accountable person within the squad to the business. Product Managers retain ownership of their products once they are live, and act as a key conduit between the business teams & DevOps teams for ensuring products are appropriately supported and further developed where necessary.

This role will require a deep understanding of Marketing and Consumer behavior and its impact on business strategies. Based on this understanding, the Product Manager will develop the product roadmap to meet the P&L of the product and to reduce time spent by Marketing/CMI on analysis and decision-making with the activation of Assisted and Predictive decision-making capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Be the bridge between business users and the product development team to define and develop product features that meets the needs / opportunities of business users. Own Product roadmap delivery for products in scope (e.g. DMPT, Growth Momentum) and go-to-market strategy of Marketing including management of budgets associated with new product functionalities and CR. Own products developed in BAU  ensuring desired levels of Adoption and User satisfaction (tracked through Users, Usage and NPS). Work with the business/ Solution Factory to ensure DevOps requests are appropriately managed, budgeted and delivered Co-own adoption and change management of DMPT in partnership with the Marketing teams / CMI and measured through KPI’s – Users, Usage, NPS and Financial Impact Oversee product functional/ non-functional design and ensure Capability Teams develop solutions which meet the business requirements Work with the BDL, Solution & Automation/Operations Factories to ensure project deliverables are in-line with project expectations. Work with the Global Analytics Platform team to ensure edge to edge user journeys and best in class User experience

ALL ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded commercial and analytics professional. They will have a deep knowledge of operations and the value chain in a consumer goods company, that is complemented by application of data management, data strategy or business information intelligence, and emerging technologies required to deliver a world class data service. They will have proven commercial judgment and most importantly, the ideal candidate will enjoy rolling their sleeves up to drive towards outcomes.

  • Experience in Data / Analytics; especially working with Marketing and Consumer data
  • Strong stakeholder management skills are a pre-requisite
  • Strong analytics project delivery experience
  • Ability to influence senior leaders (e.g. VPs, Directors) on developing the data and insights strategy for Marketing
  • Ability to communicate complex analytic and data science solutions in a precise, and actionable manner to senior management
  • Strong technical expertise to dissect data/analytics solutions and “know what good looks like”
  • Experience building business cases and owning delivery of the projects/programs
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously in a highly dynamic and competitive market
  • Ability to work as a part of a cross-functional team and work in an agile manner without necessarily having a traditional team set-up
  • Managing virtual teams with through influencing virtual stakeholders
