Oji Fibre Solutions is New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of pulp, paper and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country. Our Penrose Paper Mill is based in Penrose, Auckland and operates 24 hours per day 365 days of the year. We produce 100% recycled fluting for the use in box manufacture.
We are seeking to appoint a Production Operator on rotating 12-hour shifts (day/night) average 42 hours per week.
Reporting to the Shift Foreman at our Penrose Mill, this role is an entry level position into manufacturing processes, as well as providing back up for the front end loader. Reliability and conscientious commitment to the team and quality of work output is essential. Actively demonstrate and maintain safe behaviours to ensure a safe working environment.
To be successful in this role, you must have good problem-solving skills, be on time and reliable and the willingness to further themselves.
Ideal attributes and skills required:
· Level 1 NZQA would be desirable;
· Computer literate;
· Logical problem solver, quick decision maker, ability to run machinery to its full potential;
· Customer focussed and goal orientated;
· Preference for previous shift work experience.
