Production Operator I

Key Responsibilities:
• Advance in their job duties and abilities through on-the-job experience
• Perform the full range of duties necessary to build and assemble units in their respective zone
• Work with Zone Team Members to execute daily tasks that are consistent with achieving the daily goal
• Participate and promote Zone Safety Hazard avoidance according to training provided
• Ability to execute housekeeping responsibilities that are consistent with manufacturing initiatives
• Ability to understand Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives as they relate to the tasks in their respective zone
• Demonstrated ability to grasp and execute process-related activities
• It is expected that enhanced proficiency within the Zone will result in active participation in Employee Suggestions Program
• Ability to understand and engage in the Zone GEMbox to drive continuous improvement in the zone; actively identifies detractors and records them on the zone GEMbox
• Maintain a safe work environment; monitor and enforce all safety procedures, PPE, 6S, and housekeeping

 

Candidate Experience and Qualification:
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education level

• Ability and willingness to stand for a minimum of 10 hours per day, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted as required
• Experience using hand and torque driven tools
• Basic PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposes
• Ability to follow both verbal instructions and written procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
• High level of accuracy; keen attention to detail
• A personality style that is inclusive, communicative and respects others
• Recognized by peers as a contributor to achieving the daily goal
• Customer focused, both internal and external
• Ability to communicate effectively

 

Working schedule: day shifts, willingness to work weekends if necessary.
