We are looking for a Production Specialist to join our award winning team who produce the live news programmes and bulletins for the East and West Midlands at ITV News Central.
This role entails:
As a Production Specialist, you will work as part of a multi-skilled team providing technical, craft, operational and administrative skills across all areas of the news service, primarily based at our newsroom and studio in Birmingham.
To be eligible for this role, candidates will need to be multiskilled and be familiar with live studio operations. Proven skills in areas that include live studio operations, gallery timing, vision, sound, directing bulletins, Traffic, production administration & scheduling is essential.
You must be willing, and have the aptitude, to develop new skills (with appropriate training) and to move between different duties on a daily basis as the needs of a busy and vibrant news operation requires. You’ll also be happy to share your own skills with others.
The rostered hours will include weekend working, late shifts as well as early morning shifts.
As a Production Specialist, you will be a highly motivated individual as well as friendly and approachable. You will be committed to working as part of a successful team, sharing the responsibility for supporting news production.
Above all you will be an excellent communicator who is quick thinking and calm under pressure with strong and decisive decision-making skills.
