Job Description
In this role, the successful candidate will provide manufacturing support in the forms of project work, consulting and trouble-shooting to resolve safety, production and quality issues which arise on a day-to-day basis for a leading company where individual and team success are recognized and rewarded.
The Project Engineer will lead project planning, communication, and execution to achieve time, cost, and results targets and/or participate in capital and process improvement projects. This highly visible role will design, evaluate and modify complex mechanical and electromechanical devices or systems to continuously improve equipment reliability and productivity.
- Preparation and execution of projects including budget responsibility (Research feasibility, creating business support, budgeting, planning)
- Initiating projects (Detailed report on the project, Contact suppliers, negotiating on price, follow up of orders, follow up of budgeting and planning)
- Set up and lead project team (internal & external resources )
- Implementation of projects (actual installation together with internal maintenance experts or contractors, follow-up, administration, training, after care, transfer to other departments, etc)
- Project hand over to OPS and Maintenance
- Training for new assets
- EHS – performance of project itself (design according applicable laws and regulations) as well as EHS performance during execution and start-up (application of PPE’s)
- Selection of technologies for defined projects
- Preparation and execution of projects including budget responsibility ranging from 10K€ – 1M€ (Research feasibility, creating business support, budgeting, planning, execution)
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related education is required.
- 2-5 years manufacturing engineering experience.
- Teamwork, in working with process engineers, project engineers, technicians,…
- Show initiative, to apply renewing techniques or improvements
- Good knowledge of different electrical and mechanical technologies in this type of industry (automation is a definate plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Ability to influence others and work across functions.
- Approachable, effective in giving/receiving feedback.
- Ability to work under general direction.
- Strong PC skills – MS Office, MINITAB, AutoCAD, AS400, QSI and QIS experience is a plus.
