Our IT team in Olathe, KS is looking for a full-time Enterprise Business Applications Team Lead that will lead the Enterprise engineering application Team to provide needs analysis, documentation, software development, system testing, and maintenance and to ensure the functionality and integrity of Enterprise Business Applications and related systems
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide day to day guidance and leadership for a team of application resources responsible to implement stable, scalable and secure applications
- Analyze business requirements and design of Enterprise Engineering Applications and related Enterprise Business Applications to meet business requirements
- Apply formal Systems Development Life Cycle process to assure functionality, security, quality and regulatory compliance of deployed systems
- Develop and maintain Garmin’s ERP and Enterprise Business Application(s) to provide secure, efficient, and consistent employee access to company data
- Work with IT staff and business stakeholders to ensure Enterprise Business Applications comply with existing infrastructure requirements and integrate with security systems, network infrastructure, and other business systems
- Monitor and expand Enterprise Business Applications and related software systems as needed to assure adequate security, performance and capacity
- Establish system support mechanisms to assure Global Enterprise Business Applications and related systems are available as required
- Coordinate Global Enterprise Business Applications projects throughout Garmin’s international IT Teams
- Participate in departmental resource planning
- Mentor and provide guidance to less-experienced application developers and/or analysts
- Provide leadership in cooperation with the manager and other functional teams
- Build healthy team relationships and perform team building activities
- Perform job functions independently with minimal direction from manager
- Gain understanding and apply detailed knowledge of Garmin processes and procedures
- Recruit, develop and retain a high performing team including conducting annual performance evaluations
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent degree from a four year college or university and a minimum of 5 years of continuous experience in delivering ERP Applications within a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process OR equivalent years of experience
- Provides a proven track record in successful project management
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
- Excellent time management and follow-up skills
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post Graduate degree in Business or IT
- Experience managing a high performance work team with responsibility for recruiting, disciplinary actions, terminations, and delivery of performance appraisals
- Experience with Oracle Applications (e.g. Agile PLM, EBS BOM/ ECO modules)
