Purchasing Services Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Services Specialist position. This position is located at our Houston, TX Corporate Office.

Purpose of Job

Responsible for managing contractor workforce contracts, including supplier negotiations, contract development, amendments, implementation, monitoring, and systems updates.  Supports service contracting process and is responsible for select non-labor service contracts.  Ensures accurate service masters are available and contracts are accurately reflected in Livelink and SAP.  Works with other contract owners to develop coherent processes for tracking labor on-hire time & rates.  Ensures that vendors draw against contracts seamlessly and within corporate policy, especially for complex contracts that are utilized by multiple groups across departments and/or sites.  Ensures that services procurement transactions follow all applicable Sasol, SOX, DOA, Customs, ISO/RC, and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

 

Scope includes approximately 25 contracts valuing $50 million per year.

   

Key Accountabilities

  • Negotiates, implements and maintains hired labor services contracts
  • Maintains accurate contracts and contractor information in Livelink & SAP
  • Ensures adequate Service Masters are available for labor contractors and other services
  • Troubleshoots vendor service issues including contracting, billing, documentation & other services
  • Monitors hired staff status to ensure proper on-boarding and off-boarding procedures are followed.
  • Work with end-users to monitor progress to ensure successful completion of services and to terminate contracts and POs upon final completion.
  • Ensures all contracting is compliant with all Sasol policies and procedures.
  • Day to day management of key hired-labor services contracts.
  • Reports key KPIs for contractor activity and other services
  • Support Sanctions and ABAC screening process for services vendors.

 

Formal Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

 

Working Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10 years related work experience
  • 5 years related experience in contracting / procurement process.
  • Some SAP MM Module expertise, preferably with services procureme

 

Required Personaland Professional Skills

  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with peers, customers, vendors, brokers, etc.
  • Proficient Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, Livelink.  Ability to quickly learn new systems
  • SAP experience preferred
