Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary of the role

Our organization is fully working in Agile and started a SAFe transformation in 2020.

 

We, in the Quality Assurance and Productivity department, ensure that the payment products deliveries correspond to the customer requests and match high quality standards. Customer is at the heart of what we do.

As a QAE, you will have the responsibility to perform professional and standardized functional validation on Amadeus back-end and front-end applications for all our products.

 

In this role, you’ll

 

1. Run the test strategy

– Participate in specification reviews to give input on testing requirements
– Define test cases, test plan and ensure traceability with specifications
– Prepare test environment, test data, and execute test cases
– Raise defects (functional issues) and track their resolution
– Ensure improvement of regression test repository
– Be responsible for the project, product or release quality control

 

2. Execute new developments/improvements

– Contribute to innovation and operational performance in the deployment of new functionalities, services and technologies
– Creation of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipelines, improvement of quality processes, methodologies and engineering practices
3. Collaborate with cross-functional/technical teams

– Create successful engagement on projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
– Share your knowledge within the team and with other QA Engineers
– Contribute to the R&D cultural transformation and talent development through team members coaching and mentoring

               

 

About the ideal candidate

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 2-4 years of experience working as QA Engineer
  • Experience with Python, ALM/Octane, UI automation tools, Git, desirable
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal); Spanish and/or French is a plus
  • Experience in software functional testing (manual and automated), based on ISTQB principles, desirable
  • Agile environment background and travel industry knowledge as a plus
  • Highly self-motivated with strong communication and negotiation skills
