Essential Responsibilities
- Regular attendance
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations
- Provide engineering support to the Quality department
- Drive advanced quality product initiatives by working cross functionally with other areas from initial notification through product launch, including PPAP
- Customer liaison with ownership of inquiries, concerns, issues and general information
- Thorough understanding of customer scorecards and drive needed improvements
- Support sourcing with supplier development/approval
- Draft and revise reports, procedures and documents
- Lead quality management system reviews
- Ensure full site quality compliance and maintain sustainable/effective QMS
- Conducts internal/external product, process, system and layered audits
- Ensures complaints/failures are resolved timely
- Identify, implement and support methods to improve site quality metrics including 1st pass yield, scrap, rework and defect reduction
- Provide active input to continuous improvement
- Analyze/interpret quality results/information
- Travel as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline, with at 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment
- Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Knowledge of TS16949 & IATF Standards
- Technical/Analytical
- Knowledge and application of quality tools for process and product controls
