Recruitment Caseworker

About the Role

Recruitment and Vetting Caseworkers use all relevant information to assess if the case should proceed to appointment or not.  Key responsibilities for this include:

  • Vetting applications ranging from new applicants to those already with us who are changing role or firm and setting requirements for further information and/or actions
  • Arranging appropriate training where required and reviewing the outcomes to ensure applicants have completed and passed all training activity/testing
  • Undertaking all aspects of due diligence such as reviewing references, criminal records, financial records and anything held in the public domain
  • Applying to and liaising with the FCA, where needed, for regulatory authorisation, ensuring that robust evidence of due diligence activity is provided
  • Using all relevant information to assess each case as a whole and decide if it should proceed to appointment or not

Recruitment & Vetting Caseworkers make decisions based on Business Standards which set out Quilter appetite and associated procedures which provide the detailed steps which must be completed

Given the importance of this role as part of the Quilter onboarding process, Recruitment & Vetting Caseworkers need to:

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of, and work at all times in accordance with Company Policies, the Quilter Business Standards and procedures, together with the FCA regulations that feed into them
  • Articulate to the FCA in a comprehensive and clear manner why the applicant should be appointed to the role applied for
  • Summarise all relevant information clearly and offer solutions when discussing complex cases with team management
  • Regularly check and update your recruitment pipeline to ensure it reflects an accurate state of play
  • Work closely with the Regional Directors to ensure they are fully aware of the progress of their cases
  • Know the agreed SLAs ensuring that the likelihood of going outside these timeframes are called out and agreed with management
  • Take responsibility for and manage own workload, providing resource support to colleagues where needed
