Regulatory Specialist

Job Summary:

The Regulatory Specialist works on matters dealing with and related to the regulation of upstream oil and gas activities by state agencies.

Job Duties:

  • Populates and submit drilling permit applications and completion packets. Collaborates as needed with area geologists, land and engineering staff for information to populate regulatory forms.
  • Interacting with regulatory agencies’ staff to resolve errors and ensure progression of filings.
  • Must have basic understanding of State Rules and Regulations.
  • Attends regulatory agency and industry workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay apprised of changing expectations and regulations of respective agencies.
  • Inputs information and maintains regulatory related databases.
  • Performs other/additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in oil and gas regulatory role. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification required. Bachelors’ degree in engineering or environmental science preferred.
  • Salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
