As a Security Operator I, you’ll monitor and maintain day to day operations in the building control center for the Williams Center complex and coordinate with appropriate personnel during emergencies and security events. You will respond to and report alarms, alerts, or security events and assist personnel in response to emergency or weather situations. The ability to remain calm in times of an emergency, provide excellent customer service, multi-task in a fast paced, challenging environment and collaborate and communicate across all levels of the organization are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Monitors and maintains day to day operations of the life safety and building security console
  • Serves as customer service representative to tenants, contractors and visitors of the complex
  • Maintain physical security of the complex, while assisting tenants, visitors and contractors with gaining access to their work areas
  • Central point of contact for coordinating the initial response to emergency and life-safety conditions
  • Collaborates with team to prepare comprehensive written incident reports documenting all security and life safety events
  • Responds to, reports and documents alarms, alerts or other activations of the security system and other emergency incidents
  • Maintains daily logs related to security operations, requests, visitors, check-ins and service calls
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) months experience in security,  law enforcement, military or related field
  • Preferred: Some college or Associate’s degree and a minimum of one (1) year security, law enforcement, military or related field

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Physically climb stairs and conduct foot patrols of the complex

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule; which could include a 24-hour on-call schedule
  • Some over-time may be required

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills; CCTV, access control and building management systems
  • Demonstrates ability to provide the highest quality of customer service
  • Possesses current Oklahoma CLEET license and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications
  • Preferred: Experience with Lenel On Guard access control system, Genetec CCTV system, Easy Lobby visitor management system
  • Preferred: Related field high rise security experience

General Compensation Information:

This role will be eligible for an Annual Incentive Program (AIP) payment. AIP payments are discretionary compensation based on business performance in relation to enterprise goals, the incentive opportunity for the role, and individual perfor­mance. Certain roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive awards.
