Basic Function

As Senior Account Manager based in the UK your role is to execute the Sales Plan, realizing the budgeted Customer/Product sales volume at differential pricing and capturing growth opportunities for the key customers in mainly the UK area.

Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate all commercial activities in the UK with respect to PP sales.
Main commercial liaison with the Carrington production facility.
Engage in customer visits to identify and analyze customer needs and develops commercial solutions
Drive results and achieves sales and pricing objectives in terms of contribution margin, volume, customer share, cost management and working capital
Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, externally with customers and OEM’s and internally with sales, marketing, ADTS, CS and credit and establishes solid relationships with them
Develop and implement Account Management Plan including Account profile, like SWOT analysis, Goals and Objectives, Innovation plan, and Resource plan.
Coordinating and aligning objectives and initiatives within the international key account management team, and taking pan European coordination with several key accounts.
Monitor timely closing of customer quality complaints and claims.
Increase sales by promoting targeted products/applications and innovation, identifies and captures cross-selling opportunities, identifies and develops new customers.
Provides regular up-dates on market intelligence and competitive movements to the business in the respective area.
Ensure a consistent and effective execution of the business strategy and makes recommendations on potential improvements.
Drive operational excellence in S&OP (Forecasting) and Pricing Management following the business process timelines.
Effectively troubleshoots and follow-up on customer issues and requests.
Ensure CRM (SalesForce) is kept up to date with latest info on Accounts, like DMU, Account Plans, Financial data, visit reports, and opportunities.
Respect all policies and procedures and proactively “live” them.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant science field (like polymer science)

In addition, an MBA or master’s degree in science or engineering preferred. 

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Polymers, Sales, ADTS, Customer Service or Business Development within a related industry is required.

Basic IT skills with Microsoft Outlook, Office Word/Excel

 Experience with SAP R/3 and SalesForce is considered a plus

Fluency in English is required, in addition, knowledge of at least one regional language preferred.

In addition, we offer an attractive compensation package, which includes an initial base salary from £55,000 gross per annum, dependant upon skills & experience, and participation in the Company’s discretionary short-term incentive (bonus) programme. Currently, the full-year target bonus for this position is 15% of base salary. The holiday entitlement is 25 days/annum plus bank holidays and we offer membership of the Company Defined Contribution Pension scheme with employer contributions of 6%-12% (dependant upon age). The role is home office based and includes an entitlement to a company car.
