With a continuing need and desire for infrastructure to be developed and delivered through strategic partnerships for Transurban, the key areas of focus of this role will be to support the development and maintenance of Transurban’s approach to strategy, governance, and relations with our Joint Venture and Partners. The role will also provide support to Transurban’s Commercial and Development function on various development projects and commercial matters. Working with relevant teams and senior leaders across Partners, Delivery and Risk (PDR) and markets, this role will be pivotal to assisting with business model optimization, partner relationship management, industry mapping, development origination, transaction execution and post-acquisition integration support.
The impact you’ll have
You’ll assist with developing protocols and governance for JVs ensuring consistency of management and optimising investor outcomes,
You’ll collaborate with relevant existing internal partner touch points to ensure effective and efficient relationship management across all markets
You’ll support the planning, prioritising, tracking, and delivering of various project tasks and reviewing project implementation plans
You’ll provide accurate information and analysis to support negotiation of commercial transactions with various parties and stakeholders
You’ll assist in the preparation of feasibility models to assess new projects and development initiatives
You’ll support the development of various reports and memorandums for senior stakeholders and decision makers
This role requires the ability to navigate through complex stakeholder relationships and interplays between internal and external stakeholders. The role advocates and supports the creation of a culture of strategic thinking, with a key driver of implementing Partners and Strategic Operations / Commercial and Development business strategy, objectives and key strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will be able to operate relatively autonomously, with minimal supervision.
The talents you’ll bring
Demonstrable experience in general consulting (either big 4 or technical advisory) or in investment banking with a solid commercial background
Tertiary qualified with outstanding commercial and investment analysis skills, including feasibility modelling and data analysis skills
Experience in project / program management, new business development and implementation of transformation program would be ideal
Proven ability to navigate through complex issues and projects
Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Commercial awareness and astuteness to undertake strategic assessments of projects
Demonstrated ability in building strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across different functions
Effective communication and presentation skills, with ability to present ideas, findings and recommendations in a clear and engaging way, in both written and verbal form
