Summary
The Senior Application Engineer (Senior AE) is responsible for leveraging expert-level engineering knowledge and relationships to support regional accounts with significant impact on software revenue. This person will become an expert in applying the software of AGI, an Ansys company, for addressing some of the most challenging aerospace and defense problems. The Senior AE operates as part a dynamic team of engineers, software developers and business professionals who assist our customers in performing analyses, solving problems, and integrating and deploying custom software solutions. This role provides technical pre-sales support throughout the entire sales process.
We are seeking candidates with a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the aerospace and defense community and who have the technical and interpersonal skills required to do so in our fast-paced work environment. This particular Senior AE will work with our customers based out of selected regions in EMEA. This is largely a remote position and thus the successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, goal oriented, capable of self-direction, a good communicator, able to multi-task and effectively work with a team. This is a customer-facing role and the successful candidate will be comfortable interacting directly with customers and speaking in front of groups. The Senior AE will travel extensively while working with government and industry customers in conjunction with our partners throughout the selected region to understand their program requirements, identify problems, and propose innovative solutions utilizing AGI, an Ansys company, software.
The Senior AE will be critical to the long-term success for the International team, providing subject matter expertise for the customers in the region while also training and mentoring other engineers and business partners in the region.
