There are more than 500 million smallholder farms globally. 2.5 billion people depend on Smallholder Communities for their food and livelihoods. About Crop and Digital Solutions

Yara aims to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees. Yara Farming Solutions, will lead the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient food production, by innovating our offerings and the way we work. Crop and Digital Solutions is responsible developing and scaling new “on-farm” digital and integrated tools and solutions for an efficient and transparent food system.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering solution teams to assess and build upon data privacy techniques and frameworks that will enable all digital products to be built with a mindset of ‘data privacy’ compliance by design.
  • Perform data privacy audits/checks on the apps and services of the team and ensure that all data flows have correct documentation and data privacy assessments in place.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps and other teams to create/implement tools, automation, training and oversight to help test and improve data privacy protections and ensure end to end data privacy compliance throughout the full development lifecycle and production release of apps, databases and services. Support incident response when a data privacy request, complaint or compromise occurs. Perform proactive research/analysis to detect data privacy risks.
  • Enhance the overall awareness and understanding of the importance of data privacy and privacy by design practices within the development teams. Provide training to entire team on data privacy principles, ethics/values, policies, procedures and quality assurance best practices related to data privacy.

Profile

  • Experience in conducting full data privacy reviews of digital services and apps including the development of compliant documentation/workflows/processes.
  • Experience in risk assessment/modelling – able to prepare assessment reports/analysis related to data privacy risks with clear, practical actions.
  • Familiar with local (PDPA) and international (GDPR) as well as progressive movements like https://mydata.org/
  • Familiar with common data privacy issues with apps/databases/services within the mobile and mass-market, consumer space.
  • CIPP Certified
