The Senior Developer is a high-visibility role and will be an integral part of a cross functional team that ensures the right data is pushed to the right teams in the right way. This role will develop business intelligence solutions in an enterprise environment while ensuring high levels of application performance, availability and scalability. Working in a collaborative environment of Enterprise Architects and BI developers, this role will design and develop solutions using Cognos 10.2 suite of tools. The ideal candidate will support the reporting and dashboard needs within the Cognos environment, including the ETL process using Microsoft SSIS. This individual will assist the team with staying current on new BI tools and trends, and champion consistency and best practices for Cognos. In addition, this individual will manage and assist the BI team prioritize projects and daily tasks by working closely with the business and any 3rd party consulting vendors to determine resource and delivery time implications.
Primary Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement BI solutions using a Microsoft SQL Server database and Cognos 10.2 BI environment

Provide administrative support of the Cognos suite of products (Cognos 10.2, Cognos Analytics)

Design, create and maintain BI Models (Cognos Cubes, Cognos Framework Manager)

Cognos Security and User Management

Architect Cognos multi-dimensional cube solutions

Create Cognos dashboards and complex reports using various BI tools

Performance management and best practices for Cognos reporting and modeling

Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Experience
-
At least 5 years of experience of Cognos suite of products, such as Framework manager, Transformer, Query Studio, Report Studio

5 years of experience in designing, developing and supporting BI solutions using Cognos

Extensive experience with MS SQL Server 2017

Expertise in Microsoft SSIS for ETL

Exposure to Power Play Client tool set preferred
