ATG Sr. DevOps
THE ROLE:
AMD Advanced Technology Group is an entrepreneurial research and development team to build AMD’s future advanced platforms & products. Our teams work closely with outside customers and internal teams to develop hardware, software, and systems solutions into next generation computing platforms. As part of AMD Advanced Technology Group, you will work within a winning team that will collaborate with internal teams & customers, explore new platform technologies, and lead the development of best-in-class hardware, software, and systems technologies that our customers will use for real-world problems. AMD is looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about joining AMD’s engineering team as a Senior Dev Ops Engineer. We are focused on autonomous technology that span across numerous different technology disciplines.
As a Dev Ops Engineer you will be focused on tools integration/development, dashboard development, automation, and CI/CD and Test. You will be involved with every aspect of the delivery process to ensure the most efficient and reliable customer experience.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will have a zeal for DevOps and improving efficiency through tools and dashboard support for increased communication resulting in action. They thrive in a fast paced environment and will have excellent communication skills and be customer oriented.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and build up tools and dashboards to allow the teams work efficiently in an agile environment
- Drive and setup streamlining of CI/CD and Test for ATG programs
- Ensure code quality by driving audit mechanisms are in place for ATG project
- Assist in automation infrastructure development and integration of it into DevOps
- Work with multi-site teams in release management
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or software engineering member
- Ability to quickly learn new and existing technologies
- Able to build tools from scratch when needed
- Excellent node.js, REST API, Python, bash, scripting fundamentals
- Experience with modern web services architectures, PowerBI etc
- In-depth knowledge of build/release systems, CI/CD systems, Artifactory, Jenkins, groovy pipelines
- Experience with Git, Gerrit and Github and Perforce
- Proficient with container technologies like Docker
- Understanding of tools like Splunk, Nagios, and other monitoring technology
- Proficient at Linux and Windows system administration
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
