Senior DevSecOps Engineer (SMTS)
THE ROLE:
Our team writes large scale infrastructure and tools for Windows and Linux. Our software is utilized during all stages of product development across multiple AMD sites and includes distributed automation and build processes, web applications and databases to track millions of records generated by thousands of systems. We are constantly adapting our software development processes (e.g. continuous integration, unit testing and TDD, code reviews) to manage the challenges we accept.
We are looking for Senior Member of Technical Staff Engineer with SW security expertise. The Engineer will be responsible for integration of security analysis into the development workflow including design and deployment of the automated CI solutions. The ability to work on multiple platforms and to design reusable and scalable modules is critical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement feature-rich solutions to integrate security tools with code review, build and test framework
- Research and evaluate new security tools and provide in-depth reports to assist the decision-making process
- Create project plans, provide technical support to guide teams adopt new security tools smoothly
- Design and implement software security metrics and reports to keep teams informed across the board
- Drive continuous process improvements to deliver secure products
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Passion to build secure software
- Strong background and knowledge of software security
- Expert knowledge with static code analysis tools such as Coverity and CodeQL is a plus
- In-depth experience for CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Groovy
- In-depth knowledge of SCM systems such as Perforce and Git
- Proficient skills in at least one of OOP languages such as C++, Java or C#.
- Familiar with build frameworks. Experience with GNU Make, CMake is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Computer Science/Engineering Degree or equivalent
- 8+ years of related work experience in software development
