Your mission:

The Senior Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting the daily human resources needs of the Mondi US headquarters office staff, including recruitment and on-boarding, employee engagement, compliance, training, compensation and related generalist activities.   Reporting to the SVP HR Americas, this position will collaborate with other US HQ HR team members and site HR leaders to deliver exceptional employee and business support to achieve Mondi’s strategy and goals.

Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Works collaboratively with other HR colleagues to support the implementation and effective use of the Success Factors HRIS platform.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts new hire on-boarding and orientation.
  • Enables employee engagement through administration of various projects and programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least three years of human resource management experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Spanish language is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP/Success Factors is desirable.
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel domestically
