We are looking for a Sr Manager, to lead our UK Transportation operations. As an integral part of the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team, the Sr Manager is responsible for the scoping and execution of organizational development. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the overall EU Transportation strategy, being accountable for strategic imperatives and continually identifying operational, service, and process improvements in relation to customer experience enhancement in a cost effective environment. The ATS team works with Amazon’s Fulfilment Centers, Sort Centers, Delivery Stations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Retail and Finance teams and externally with service providers, offering business and logistics expertise to ensure optimal delivery of service solutions. This role will also enjoy cross regional and international exposure with senior leadership. It would work with our 5K carrier partners in UK and help them grow. This role represents someone who would become industry leader for ATS who will represent Amazon at conferences and carrier forums. The leader would help us drive sustainability and diversity in Amazon and Transportation industry as a whole.

Responsibilities:
· Manage existing domestic and international line haul connections to the highest degree of cost effectiveness and reliability.
· Manage a team of Specialists and Transportation Managers, who operate 24/7 across multiple geographies
· Develop emerging organizations in specialist transportation fields
· Manage the business relationships with carriers spanning resolution of operational issues to supporting commercial and contractual negotiations.
· Cross-functional work with the Supply Chain, Warehouses and the Retail organizations to determine future demand for Transportation resources. Translate the aforementioned into accurate capacity plans.
· Ensure up to date and accurate statistics, management reports and analysis are available and maintained.
· Work across the EU in a cross-functional environment.
· Interfaces and coordinates activity with Operations Managers and Process Operations Managers to develop and manage change.
· Liaison and collaboration with external partners

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience within Logistics/Supply Chain operations
· Good understanding of Transportation Logistics network management and Customer Service
· Understanding of analytical simulations and assessments.
· In-depth knowledge of operating and analysis tools; solution driven approach to system and process; advanced computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
· Experience leading and managing a team. Demonstrates an ability to manage, motivate, and influence employees and partners

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master’s level degree, MBA or higher preferred
· Post Graduate Program (PGP) qualification or equivalent in Management of Operations/Logistics
· Decision Making/ Problem Solving- Proactively gathers the right data from appropriate sources, probes/considers all of the facts, takes into account other perspectives; conducts root cause.
· Planning and Organizing: Able to evaluate priorities appropriately; apt at resolving conflict and able communicates intentions clearly; delivering within time constraints.
· Presentation skills; excellent written & well-polished verbal communication skills
· Experience of successfully driving complex, milestone driven projects and carrying out changes across multi-country entities, having a proven track record in improving the Supply Chain
· Experience within fast moving international companies renowned for their state-of-the-art Supply Chain and Logistics practice such as distribution, retail
· Experience of having worked in international environments
